There are certain mental health disorders I do not treat due to the nature of telehealth, such as psychotic disorders and suicidality.
Please be aware that my private practice is not a 24/7 crisis clinic.

I have chosen not to accept insurance in my practice to prioritize the therapeutic relationship and ensure that all decisions regarding treatment are made collaboratively between myself and my clients, free from third-party influence. This allows us to tailor the length, frequency, and modality of therapy to best suit your needs and goals, ultimately leading to the highest quality of care and optimal outcomes.
I am happy to provide monthly superbill statements for those clients who wish to pursue potential reimbursement and submit their own claims.
HSA, FSA, debit/credit cards are accepted as forms of payment.

Nope!
In fact, I see many clients who do not wish to incorporate their faith. For some, faith is deeply personal or private, and they wish to not have it integrated.
Either way, you decide! I have a place you will indicate your preferences on the initial intake, and we will discuss your preferences and wishes in the first session. My job is to be collaborative with you in a way that meets your needs. I do not promote an agenda, I meet you where you are at, on your spiritual faith journey.
As a counselor, my job is not to tell you how to think or to tell you what God is telling you to do. I also do not try to convert your faith–that’s not the purpose of therapy or coaching. My job is to help you be attuned to your own personal awareness, insights, and bodily sensations as well as incorporating a biblical worldview, if you choose to do so in therapy.

For the time being, all my services are provided online via telehealth. Research has found it to be just as effective as in person! This is one of the amazing benefits we have in technology.
Teletherapy is a flexible and convenient way to prioritize your mental health. There is no commute or lengthy waiting room times. You don’t have to stress over childcare. It is a great option for someone who is seeking a counselor outside of their metropolitan area.
All you need is somewhere that is safe, private, and has a good wi-fi connection!

Individual sessions are 45 minutes. Couples sessions are 60 minutes.
Initial intake sessions are 60 minutes.
Weekly sessions are highly encouraged for the first 4-6 weeks of therapy. If you are only able to commit to every-other week to start, we this can be discussed in the initial consultation call for goodness of fit and appropriateness. Frequency of meeting less than every-other-week is not offered at this time.

The duration of therapy and the timeline for progress vary depending on individual needs and goals.
Typically, clients may start experiencing some improvements within the first few sessions as they begin to gain insights and develop coping strategies. However, significant progress often occurs over several weeks to months of consistent therapy.
Short term therapy can be 6-18 weeks and longer term therapy can be 1-2+ years. It depends on your specific goals and needs, all of which is discussed in the initial consultation call so we can decide what is the best fit for you.
Therapy Intensives are also another great options for those with busy lifestyles or limited schedules who can give a large portion of time in one sitting to therapy. This can allow a person to get into a “work-flow” and accomplish more momentum in progress than regular weekly sessions. If you are interested, this is offered to couples and individuals. We can discuss this in the consultation if you would like to know more.

Rare circumstances may arise where I must breach confidentiality, such as if there is an imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or if there are suspicions of child, elder (aged 60+), or vulnerable adult abuse or neglect. Additionally, confidentiality may be breached in specific legal situations.
