Modalities and Theoretical Approaches Used:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
A specialized trauma therapy that helps your brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer hold power. You’ll feel more grounded, free, and able to move forward without emotional flashbacks. This is our most commonly used method for individual counseling and individual intensives. This method can accelerate the therapy process and is a different process from traditional talk therapy. Learn More about the amazing impact of EMDR here or watch the video above.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Identify anxious, negative, or self-critical thoughts and replace them with truth. Learn how your thoughts shape your feelings—and how to reshape both with intention and clarity.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Learn how to accept difficult emotions without judgment, make intentional choices aligned with your values. Live with peace and purpose, not fear or avoidance.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Practical tools for regulating intense emotions, setting healthy boundaries, and finding balance in relationships. Helpful for highly sensitive or emotionally reactive individuals.
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Explores the deeper emotional needs underneath anxiety, conflict, or disconnection. EFT helps individuals (and couples) understand, express, and heal their emotions in a safe, nurturing space.
Internal Family Systems (IFS-Informed)
Explore and understand the different “parts” of yourself—like the anxious overachiever or the critical voice—with compassion, not shame. Healing happens as you welcome and restore each part.
Faith-Integrated Counseling
We incorporate prayer, Scripture, and Biblical wisdom alongside evidence-based clinical care. How and if you want this incorporated is discussed in your free consultation and intake assessment.
Somatic & Nervous System Regulation
Anxiety isn’t just in your head—it’s in your body. We use grounding techniques, breathwork, sensory tools, and rhythmic movement to help calm the body and restore safety to the nervous system.
Narrative Therapy
Reframe the story you’re telling yourself about your past, identity, or future. Through grace and truth, you’ll learn to rewrite your story from a place of strength and faith.
Solution-Focused Therapy
Short-term, goal-driven support that focuses on what’s already working. You’ll walk away with clarity, small wins, and practical steps forward.
Attachment-Based Therapy
Understand how your early relationships are influencing your current ones. You’ll learn to build secure, safe connections—starting with yourself and expanding outward.
Play Therapy (for adults too!)
Children process emotions and experiences through play—not words. Playfulness helps express feelings, heal from stress or trauma, and build emotional confidence. Themes of playfulness, fun, and exploration are a part of self-care and building a strong emotional connection and safety.
