What is a Therapy Intensive?
Intensives are designed to provide longer and more frequent therapy sessions over a shorter period, thereby accelerating your recovery. It can be in a one-on-one setting or a group setting (think couples or family, typically a pair of people + therapist).
Who is an EMDR Intensive For?
Intensives are offered in two formats:
1)EMDR Intensives for individuals with chronic stress, trauma, and nervous system dysregulation
2) Couple or Family Intensives to build connection and communication tools you can begin to implement immediately
Individual EMDR Intensives:
You’re doing your best to hold everything together—for your family, your work, your faith. But lately, the mental load feels unbearable. You’ve prayed, journaled, talked to friends, maybe even tried weekly therapy before. Still, you’re exhausted, anxious, and stretched so thin it feels like something has to give.
As your therapist, I want you to know: you're not alone—and you're not broken. You're just tired of trying to process everything in one 45-60-minute session a week. That’s where EMDR therapy intensives comes in.
An intensive might be exactly what you need if:
✨ You're already in weekly therapy but feel stuck or overwhelmed, and you know you need extra support to move forward right now.
✨ You're new to therapy, but you prefer to dive in deep and make meaningful progress quickly—no slow starts.
✨ You’ve been meaning to start therapy, but your schedule is already maxed out. The thought of adding another weekly commitment feels overwhelming.
✨You’re running on fumes and need tools, peace, and healing—now, not later.

Maybe you’ve tried weekly couples therapy before. Or maybe this is the first time you’ve admitted things feel stuck. Either way, you're not sure you can—or want to—wait months to feel close again.
Intensives provide experience safety, connection, and clarity together again. You’ll get helpful tools to create a common language for you to use in times of stress, conflict, or when needs are unmet; so you can find the heart of your relationship again.

Watch this VIDEO about EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps you heal from painful or overwhelming experiences that still affect your emotions, thoughts, or body. At Prosper Counseling, we use EMDR to gently reprocess stuck memories—helping your brain release the fear, anxiety, or shame tied to them so you can feel calm and present again. We integrate your faith into the process, believing that God designed your mind to heal and that true peace is possible.
